Kept wanting to get pulled into the story like the first book. Normally like this author and her ability to make people seem real; that did not happen in this book. Too many people introduced in the first half, unable to keep track of them and still figure who will be important to the story. Beth, the mother, was the only character that rang true thru most of the book. Understood her awkwardness when watching the movie premier. Other family members seemed disjointed to the point of not caring about them. Good part was the personality of the tracker hired to find the mountain home in the snow. Ending satisfied the story. ( ) rabck tag from dvg; not as good as the initial book - I had hoped for more. Twenty-two years ago, Ben was abducted, then finally returned to the family when he was twelve. Now grown, his older brother, Vincent, makes a documentary about 5 families with abducted children and while he's winning the Academy Award for his documentary, Ben's daughter is abducted. The story spirals into the different facets of the family, but not very deep. And of course, has the happy ending. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
