I can't stand to quit reading a book but this one I wish I did. I didn't like the characters, I didn't like the writing, and I didn't find the story that compelling. The main character has a secret that forces him to live underground and I kept reading in part because I assumed the reason would be revealed. It was and I didn't find it interesting or entertaining in the least. In fact it irritated me. The whole second half of the book irritated me. I wish I could give it less than one star. ( ) An interesting premise, suggesting that real innocence is so damning to the beholder that even reasonable humans are moved to act violently when confronted with it - so well does it highlight their dark places. I particularly admired Koontz's deft description of time in chapter sixty-two when Father explained why there was no such thing as luck. . . sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
