Wow. If you've got some time, would you like to do that, or a partial listing, for The Daily Show as well? I've started another group for that also. Search for "The Daily Show"

So who's read any of the books of authors promoted by The Colbert Report? What did you think?

Wasn't Sudhir Venkatesh of Gang Leader for a Day on as well, or was that on The Daily Show?

>4 GoofyOcean110:
Yes, I have read books by several of these authors and a few more are in my TBR stack.
Last week I met Maggie1944 at one of our favorite bookstores to compare notes on Why is God Laughing? (which we both liked) by Deepak Chopra over dinner and then stayed to listen to Cokie Roberts (I've read 3 books by her) speak so there are two checked off in one night.
I have to admit I read Crashing the Party: Taking on the Corporate Government in an Age of Surrender by Ralph Nader and found it to be so dry and boring that I couldn't bring myself to read anything else by him...I've read calculus books that were better page turners!
So, has anyone else actually enjoyed reading anything by Ralph Nader? What book and why?

That's just a partial list, but a good start. Complete lists of both Daily Show and Colbert Report guests can be found on wikipedia, although they don't list differentiate authors form other guests, so you need to do some weeding through.
I've read quite a few books I've seen promoted on the show, most recently The Strongest Tribe by Bing West, which I highly recommend. I have Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell in my TBR pile, and I know he's been on the show, more than once I think.
I just picked up Goodwin's Team of Rivals from the library, I'm hoping to start one that this week.
I have to finish my final exams first, school is sucking away all my reading time. And yet I never miss Colbert or the Daily Show. :)
