Found: A book from my childhood about young female sorceress

A book about a sorceress girl, im sure she had a cat. Plot was connected to the moon, like she got her powers from it or something. The cover was purple -it's the only thing stuck in my head rn. Published at least 10 years ago. I cant recall any more details at the moment, tough search :(

Alanna? The goddess sent the cat to help Alanna, it had the same purple eyes she had.

Probably not Alanna, since she's a knight, not a mage, but something else from Tamora Pierce might be a good guess. The cat switches owners from series to series. Maybe something from The Immortals Quartet, though I'm not sure about the moon connection. Some editions of some of those books do have purple covers.

Could be a couple of the Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey

The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy often has a purple cover and was widely available ten years ago. I think the main character is given a cat who is her familiar, and one of the spells she's worried about has to do with the full moon; though, I'm not sure about my knowledge of its plot details.

It's a pretty good match for The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill, but that one's a bit too new. Still, mentioning it just in case.

La bambina della sesta luna that was the one, found it after a long search. Honestly didn't expect it to be italian (i'm not italian and i didn't read it in italian, just to clarify) and surely i didn't expect it to be that much of a children's book. I'm not even sure if it was translated to english, so the question was troublesome. Thanks everyone for help!
