Reviewed by Randstostipher "tallnlankyrn" Nguyen for TeensReadToo.com Gina Covello's life described in six words: Still a vampire, also a spy! However, not so much one of those sexy spies like on Alias or anything. After defeating the vampire vixen who turned her current boyfriend, Bobby, and taking a deal with the Feds that offered protection, Gina is back with a vengeance... well, not a vengeance, more like a mission. Turns out the Feds needed Gina and her minions to go undercover and help them solve some mysteries. Gina's current mission? Go to Maureen Benson High and pose as a new student, Geneva Belfry, who is recently divorced from her parents. Sounds easy, especially with Bobby going undercover at the same school with his "twin brother," Rick. The only problem is... Gina must go GOTH! So much for a wardrobe allowance. Regardless of her current state of forced fashion, and terrible living quarters, Gina must complete the assignment as to why the smart ones are becoming dumber and the jocks are becoming even more vicious, and the students as a whole are acting more vacant during school than the normal teenager would. Add in a little jealousy, romance, a new, nasty nemesis who is preparing for yet another battle, and once again the hilarious view of the world through Gina's eyes, and you get REVAMPED, the kick-butt sequel that everyone has been waiting for. As always, Gina does everything with sass and style, even if she dreads what she is wearing, and her interactions with Bobby aren't so bad, either! Lucienne Diver gives her fans a follow-up to VAMPED that will satisfy them but leave them wanting just one more sequel, or maybe two. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Gina's Rules for Vampires on Surviving Super Spy School Training: 1. First, the dirt and sweat are just too horrible to contemplate. 2. Going goth to infiltrate a high school and see who's messing with supernatural powers means no color palette to speak of. And don't even get me started on the shoes. 3. Making out with your vamp-stud boyfriend while hunting down evil rogue vampires, unless it's part of your cover, is totally grounds for extra push-ups. 4. When going goth, you've totally got to strike words like awesome and phat from your vocab. 5. Who's running this spy school, you ask? I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. 'Course, then you might become one of us--the few, the proud, the fangtabulous. Lucienne Diver interviewed by RT Book Reviews No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Gina infiltrated the goth group (where her fashionista-self successfully shined, even with little color in her wardrobe) and made fast friends. I loved getting to know the new characters in the goth group. An old villain resurfaced along with an even older one, and I was anxious to see who would make it out alive or as alive as a vampire could be.
Another thing that I thought was really creative, and I hope to see more in the future books, was the new formula of blood that Gina and Bobby had to drink. It helped them keep daylight hours with minimal vampire-effects. I'd be interested to see if the formula develops into something else.
I can't say which book I liked better since I felt they were totally different from one another. Vamped was more of testing the boundaries of Gina's vampire powers, and Revamped explored her execution of what she had learned. Where Vamped was action-y, Revamped was more of a detective story that built up to an insane conclusion, and Gina learning who was really on her side.
Overall, this is a great start to this series. Diver takes vampires to a whole new level and I am quite excited to read the third book in the series, Fangtastic. ( )
