This book goes on a journey with a bear who wants to fly high. Luckily he is with four friends who know exactly where to go. The best place, an amusement park. The bear and his friends go on lots of rides, and the bear finally gets to fly high in the air. Just like the seagulls, he goes higher and higher. With fun words to repeat as you read, this book is a very fun and easy read.

Personal reaction: I loved this book, and so did the children I read it with. It was fun and the children enjoyed reading the last words on the page with me

Extension: My first extension would be to have the children draw the amusement park the bear went to, what kinds of rides the bear rode and what did the rides look like? A second extension is have the children write the word swoop and decorate it with different items available in the classroom. ( )

Bear lives on the beach and he always sees birds flying so he wants to fly. So his friends take him to an amusement park and they go on a roller coaster. Bear is so happy because he got the feeling that he was actually flying. ( )
