Then there's Maggie parents, who appear to be having a mid-life crisis. Maggie's best friend Daphne and her husband are trying to get pregnant. Finally teenage H.S. drop-out and pregnant Cindy and husband, Billy have their story. Plus the local lawman Purvis and His girl Nelly the Libririan. Added to this is the mystery of the butchered cattle. Ist's a lot to keep track of, but it's typically Linda Lael Miller.
