I only read the first chapter (The Peal of a Thousand Bells) to this literary study of great English writer C.S. Lewis. The first essay on the power of Lewis' imagination is well done. I wish I had read more of Lewis besides his The Screwtape Letters and Mere Christianity. His Chronicles of Narnia and Science Fiction as unknown to me. This book has a cover blurb from one of my former teachers, Paul Ford, who is an expert on Lewis' work. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Internationally acclaimed as one of the best books about C.S. Lewis and his writings, Thomas Howard provides new insights and helps us to see things we didn't see or appreciate in Lewis before. Focusing on Narnia, the space trilogy, and 'Till We Have Faces', Howard explores with remarkable clarity the moral vision in the imaginary world of the master story-teller Lewis.
