This is a beautifully illustrated book by a wonderful writer. The narration and dialog are spot on, with pacing and repetition that are perfect for the early reader/listener. This will be lots of fun as a bedtime story, with swooping words, like "Wheee" to play with, as Mama's scarf is passed from head to head. The story is told from a child's perspective, with activities and a stuffed Bunny , who has a secret voice. This will spark young ones' imaginations , as will the beautifully rounded and brightly detailed illustrations, engaging both teller or reader in a warm family life.

I received this book for free as part of the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program. I thought the pictures were beautiful. It is a simple story about a mother's scarf that is worn to protect her hair at night while she sleeps. As someone from a different culture, I could not relate too much to the characters and do wish the story went into a little more detail about the importance of the scarf. I read the story with my 4 year-old son and he really liked the bunny character. He thought the bunny was funny. Overall I think this is a cute story. ( )

This was a beautiful story. The illustrations were lovely and vibrant and brought the story to life. I enjoyed that the gender roles were reversed and the mom went to work while the dad stayed home. ( )
