To be honest, I'm not going to start day-trading or put much weight into reading the charts when it comes to stocks. I don't have the time for it as a hobby. That said, this book is a pretty cut-and-dry introduction to the art of "technical analysis" (aka, reading stock charts and making predictions of mass behaviors). The book has clear definitions and explanations. It starts off with the very basics. And it's written to bring any reader, even with only a beginner level of knowledge about equities markets, along for the ride. Of all the junk and blogs and scams out there about "technical analysis", this one ranks as one of the least "junkiest". Coming from someone that believes the whole field of "chart reading" is simply a self-fulfilling mass delusion, that's saying a lot.Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. This little book seems great for people who want to learn more about stock charting. It has a lot of good information for people starting out who may not know all the terminology and what to look for as stocks trend up or down and what that means for investing. I also found it annoying that the author isn’t an individual and there is nothing in the book that explains who/what Kankle is! Really? I’d like to know who I’m supposed to be learning from. So, Kankle has 0 credibility to me. The first chapter doesn’t even get into any of the techniques, which I found very odd. I had hoped that there would be some good, concrete examples and practice charts to use. Instead they refer the reader to Think or Swim, which is a TD Ameritrade system. Since I don’t invest with that company, I don’t think that would be an option for me. Overall, not very impressed with this book. It is difficult to read, and the charts that are in the book are not very easy to read, as others have mentioned in their reviews. It would be even better if there were an appendix with example charts to practice with and some color charts. This book continues to sit on my nightstand. Maybe I’ll get through it someday. Granted, I am a true newbie on this topic, but I found a lot of the information to be far too complicated for a lay person's understanding/absorption.All that being said, I think for the right audience (somehow who has a good foundational understanding of stock charting) this would be a very helpful resource/reference. I'm glad I have it for reference now. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
