Desde que la conoció, en la adolescencia, Guy estaba enamorado de Eleanora. Ambos pertenecen a distintas clases sociales: Guy no deja de ser un golfillo, incluso un delincuente marginal; Eleonora pertenece a una familia culta y acomodada.
