Both his parents and his sister are deaf, hence they are able to communicate easily with one another. In school, Danton is in classes where they only communicate in ASL, but they are the same classes that the hearing students are in. Danton explains how not everyone at school is nice to him, but he has a group of deaf friends that he loves to play with and spend time with. Summary: This story follows the journey of a child with deafness and how he experiences life. It talks about how he communicates with ASL and how his life is every day. Reflection: I love how this book touches on how a deaf person goes through the world. I love how in the end there are terms and what the definitions are of those words. I especially love how at the end there is the story of the real-life child who was deaf and speak on the appropriate ways to communicate with a deaf person. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
