( ) For beginning readers. Bee Still introduces children to the idea of meditation and being patient. It is a good book to show children a good example of how to regulate their emotions. This would be a good book to read to a class before nap time, or a meditating activity. The book is written in rhyming verse, like a poem. The pictures are very cute and all of the characters are animals. This is the story of a young bee who practices meditation and mindfulness in the midst of activities that cause stress. He teaches his other animal friends how to meditate too, and helps them find peace! Primary readers can learn how to meditate through this story and it even offers tips to learn mindfulness that children and parents can work through together. This was a very charming novel about Bentley the honeybee who can't find a peaceful place in his hive so he finds a quiet place outside. He meditates to free his mind and helps other animal friends to feel at peace too. He explain how breathing and mediation can be very helpful. This book is created with primary readers in mind. The author dedicates a page in the back to provide parents with helpful ways to introduce mediation into their children's lives. This book is very easy to follow along and will be helpful for mental health/introducing children to provide peacful practices into their lives. This book is about meditation, told through the story of a bee in a very busy hive who meditates and ends up inspiring other animals to do the same. The illustrations are pretty so-so, a little too fuzzy for my liking. The main text, told in rhyme, is slightly forced but not to the point of amateurism, as occurs in a lot of self-published books. This book is absolutely NOT self-published; the publisher is an imprint of the American Psychological Association! The author's notes for parents and caregivers are quite on point and easy to follow. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
