One reason I enjoyed this book was because of its multicultural aspect and the language that the author used. The little girl and boy in the story shows and tells the readers all about a posada, or the holiday tradition that happens on the nine nights before Christmas. Throughout the story, the author changes between English and Spanish as the language of the book. Students learning Spanish can learn a few simple Spanish terms and words. The second reason I enjoyed the book was the illustrations. The font of the text was silly and engaging which makes it easy to follow for young children, along with the illustrations which are vibrant and appealing. Overall the "big idea" of the story is that a posada is an important Latino holiday tradition and children of all cultures should try and learn about it! ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
