The citizens of Lighthouse Cove are preparing for the annual Home and Garden Show competition and for some that means renovation, so Shannon Hammer's construction crews are busy at multiple sites. Personally, Shannon is at the home of Petsy Jorgensen, a not so nice client, that wants an orangery added to the side of her home as well as repairs made to the interior paneling. Shannon has been lucky enough to hire a new carpenter that can handle the paneling. At the same time, Shannon has been asked by Joan Derry, a neighbor of Petsy's, to repair problems that resulted from changes made to their basement. Scully, town’s building inspector, is sticking his nose in when it doesn't belong, causing both Petsy and Joan to be unhappy. When Scully is found murdered in Joan's orangery suspicion is spread throughout the neighborhood.

Was Scully murdered because of his interference or was there another reason?

The book was entertaining and the characters just keep getting better and better. ( )
