Almost all of the books I own are more than 3-stars, because I only keep the books I expect to want to re-read. My "read but don't own" collection includes my last few years of reading, a number of which have lower rankings. (The ones I start and quickly abandon are only here if they really offended me in some way, so 2 stars or less are under-represented.)

3.5: pretty good

2.5: meh
2: boring or off-putting
1.5: bad
1: terrible
0.5: unreadable
unrated: haven't read it (yet)
