The idea of the book was intriguing - a gift to heal that can be passed on. There was a smattering of mystery, a brush with crime, some impressive scenes of healing. But the actual plot felt thin, and while Chris is completely occupied with unraveling the mystery of the stone (and the gift) he has been handed, there isn't a very good resolution to that mystery - or maybe it was less of a mystery than the author tried to make out. My favorite character was Father Llewellyn, who was just lovely. ( )
