What a gorgeous little book. I read it to a seven year old who was feeling particularly sad at the time, and it cheered her up immensely. The illustrations are bright and colourful and unlike a lot of children's books, it is not at all preachy or patronising. I will recommend it to other professionals who work with children. ( )

Alinka Rutkowska, has written the sequel to Cinderella. Classic tales are loved by every generation of children. This will be no exception. This book has a modern twist for the 21st centaury.

The illustrations by Konrad Checinski stand out and are so pleasing to the child and adults eye. There is a moral to the story too.

The author writes well and this will be a great story time book at school and to tuck up your child at night.

Brave to tackle a well loved classic tale and the author pulled this out of the bag. ( )

Cinderella's glass slippers need repaired because 'Junior' was using them to squash mosquitoes and smashed one of them.
A nice, colourful addition to the Cinderella story.
The book also comes with multiple choice comprehension questions which a teacher may find useful. The original Cinderella story is included at the end of the book as an added extra. ( )

This is a very quick read. A rather unexpected take on the original Cinderella, with colorful and rather comical illustrations. I think it is more suited to a young girl even though part of the story is about Cinderella's son. I think to hold a boy's interest it needs more about the son's birthday party. Overall it is a cute story. ( )
