( ) There are three reasons I like the book “Zoom! Zoom! Sounds of things that go in the City.” First, I absolutely love the illustrations. I love the feeling of reading a new book! This was published in 2014 and on the shelf for new arrivals. Looking at the freshly printed and crisp pages definitely enhanced the illustrations. They are bold, colorful, and bright drawings of the city. The illustrator only chose to use red, yellow, and blue in contrast to the black and white. These illustrations have a style that fits with the written text. Second, the writing is engaging because it almost “speaks.” For example, “Bus comes rocking. Whoops. Jump. Squeeze inside. Sit down. Bump-bump.” Children could easily participate and follow along with the sounds and actions as the teacher is reading! Finally, I like how the plot starts during a sunrise in the city, takes the reader through a whole day, and ends at night. This book is a loveable story describing daily life in the city. The big idea of this book is to introduce young children to all the things you may see or hear as you travel downtown! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
