Heartwarming book! I love reading Janette Oke books! The character, Virginia is captured completely by Janette.
Virginia is on the cuspe of womanhood. She's feeling smothered by her family and is desperately seeking the approval of her friend, Jenny. Jenny is a broken, motherless child that likes to be in control. She's a very bad influence on Virginia. Virginia's parents are at a loss of how to deal with Virginia's new behavior. A horrible accident with some of the other kids wakes Virginia up. She decides to start praying for Jenny and obeying her parents.Jenny just becomes meaner especially when she has set her cap for Jamison who is not interested in her at all. Jenny moves on to other friends and Virginia and Jamison grow closer. ( )
