( ) A lovely book, very moving, about a young woman's intense admiration of Joan of Arc and how it influences her life. Unfortunately, I found one repeated instance of the author's misuse of Catholic terminology most jarring every time it occurred. How could the editors have let his references to Joan "saying" Mass go by? The Bishop of Beauvais "would not allow Joan to say Mass". Well, obviously he would not. Priests, and only priests, say Mass. The congregation attends (in today's usage) or hears (in earlier usage) Mass. That egregious mistake cost the book at least one star in my estimation. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
