The second installment in the Capucine series–a weekend in the country turns deadly as Capucine tries to help her uncle explain several unfortunate accidents and their connections to a local cattle ranch famed for its beef. However, I had a really hard time getting into Crime Fraiche. I found that a little disappointing. The book does pick up toward the end, however and readers who are looking for a leisurely paced read might enjoy it. flag Esta reseña ha sido escrita para Sorteo de miembros LibraryThing. I need to learn French! I think I would have enjoyed this bok even more if I had understood every word of it! I enjoed this book and it was refreshingly different from most of the other mystery books I have read. I had decided that I knew who was at fault and was happily pleased to discover I was wrong. There is also a very interesting twist with the justice system that surprised me. I enjoyed the book and will read more by Alexander Campion! For me, Capucine and Alexandre had the flavor of Nick and Nora Charles, which I very much enjoyed. Additionally, I was very pleased that the person I picked as the "perp" had nothing to do wtih the murders, and I was surprised at who did "do it." Always a plus for me. I'm going to read the previous one in this series now, and future ones as well. P.S. The meal descriptions will make your mouth water, if you're a foodie, as am I! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
