Tweets from Denis Leary, all in the format of headline in bold print, punchline in smaller print below. A couple of pretty funny, a couple are seriously offensive, but most of them are just kind of tired and repetitive. On the bright side, it takes maybe ten minutes to read at most.

Oh yeah, and this is about 2010, not 2020, so it's also really dated. ( )

Funny and silly, but most of the little Twitter entries aren't ground-breaking comedy. They are vintage Denis Leary however and as such should be enjoyable to any who enjoy his brand of comedy. Also, a portion of the proceeds go to the Leary Firefighters, a charity which helps purchase equipment and training fascilities for firefighters, a worthy cause. ( )

Denis Leary is a very funny man and his new book, Suck On This Year, shows just how funny. It is full of tweets - short bon mots at 140 characters or less - that take a headline and continue it with very funny lines. Example:

Doctors: attention deficit disorder can destroy a marriage.

(Denis Leary): I think I speak for all husbands when I say: 'You seen my keys?'

This little book is chock full of classic Denis Leary humour - sarcastic wit amid true observations that only he could think of. To see more examples of his twitter humour, you can follow him on his twitter page. One of his latest tweets:

TSA conducting groin checks. Sen. Larry Craig's been thru 19 times already.

Suck On This Year would make a great holiday gift for a Denis Leary fan. A portion of the proceeds from sales go to the Leary Firefighters Foundation. ( )
