Help, can't seem to remember this book that I've read in high school..here goes nothing
The h of this book is considered "tom-boyish" she like physical activities such as training horses and having a multitude of farm animals as pets. If i remember correctly the h makes a pretty grand entrance in the beginning, I think she is described as wearing pants and a loose shirt.. just come back from the barn. ALSO she keeps a whip with her at all times or is pretty handy with a whip and hates animal cruilty, I'm pretty sure she even uses said whip later in the book when she witness a guy abusing his horse or dog.. and recall exact animal.. She's told by her father (some titled lord) that she can not live that way (tomboy ways) all her life and tells her he's found her a husband, who will be "fetching" her soon... (I can't remember ) she doesn't want this marriage but devised a plan to have the H call off their engagement, h propse she be able to take all her farm animals with her, hat's the only way she will go said guy her dad engaged her to. The H of this book is a "scoundrel / bad boy/ rake" titled lord who was also forced into this deal some how...Thinks she's all tomboy and not a real lady but later finds out that she was just acting like a total disaster so she can get him to break their "forced engagement" finds out he's in love with her and confronts her.. later finds out she's pregnant and the baby is his...fins out she's in love with him too. Lives happily ever after. .
