This summer I read about a book in the Times book review section. Here's the problem, I cannot remember the title or the author!! The best I can do is give a description of the book as I remember it.
This book was about a woman. She was raised as a good Jewish(?) girl. She wound up as a harem girl in an Arab prince's harem. The book was based on a true story. The story is about her life in a harem and how she finally broke free. I REALLY want to read this book! If anybody can help me figure out the title and author I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

It could be Some Girls: My Life in a Harem by Jillian Lauren.

I recall that review. In my mind, the story parallels the older title Not without my Daughter; so I looked at the recommendations listed there - this one is new Mayada, Daughter of Iraq: One Woman's Survival Under Saddam Hussein. You should click through those books and then click through to some of the recommendations. Maybe you'll find it by looking around a bit. Good luck.
