- Sobre mi biblioteca
- Over the years I've filled several Brooklyn apartments nearly to the brim with books. I usually had very little furniture, not even a bed, but tons of books. I have trimmed the collection down a lot, but it still makes most everyone else in my neck of the woods look at me strangely when they see the library room. How many times have I heard the question, "Wow, have you read all of these?"
(The answer, of course, is no. Why would I only have books that I've already read? I'd say I'm maybe 50-50.)
Similarly, fiction and nonfiction seem to occupy approximately equal proportions of my collection. Fiction runs from the mainstreamy and classic to sf-fantasy-horror and crime/mystery. Lots of sf-fantasy-horror. Nonfiction is big on history, especially European medieval history (college major), and extends to science, philosophy, religion, cultural studies, politics, and a little of bit of almost everything. - Sobre mí
- Formerly of Brooklyn, NY, now of Watertown, CT. Reading would be my middle name if I didn't already have two. My mother tells me she had an uncle who retired and spent the next 25 years of his life reading, and that sounds pretty good to me.
Well, I'd have to set aside some time for other things that I love, such as music and volleyball. But I guess once I get to a certain age, I'm going to have to give up the volleyball, so that would just leave reading and music ... - Ubicación
