My library consists of what I read. Ask me what I read and I would answer, “Just about everything.” I will relish in a classic on a chilly autumn night, lose myself in Agatha Christie when the power goes out, give my brain a rest and read chick-lit while at the beach, spend free time at work taking in the Times of various cities.

If I’m feeling intellectual I’ll sit in a park and read “Fahrenheit 451.” Sentimental moods tend to bring out my favorite, such as “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” or “Jane Eyre.” And then there are times when I simply close my eyes, graze my fingers along my headboard (which is covered in books) and choose at random.

But my favorite thing to do is visit my local library or nearest Barnes & Noble, where I browse the shelves, accumulating a good stack of reads. Then I find a cozy corner somewhere, preferably with a comfy chair/a cup of hot tea, and read all the first chapters. (A book’s “enjoyability” factor, by the way, is increased by at least 12.2% when read while sipping fresh brewed tea…)
