Get ready to visit Paris through pictures. This was a fun adventurous spy picture book set in Paris.

Josephine was quirky, fun-loving, and smart main character. Her adorable daughter was nice little spy who also helped her mother in her work. The duo together did sightseeing in Paris and also worked on their mission.

I liked the famous places in Paris pictured in the book. Museums, famous church, garden and monuments. I never visited Paris before and never knew the places mentioned in this book, so I just googled everything and checked it out. There were also basic French greeting phrases in the book that could be taught to children. So I feel, this book was fun way to teach children about places in Paris and little basic French.

All the crafty tricks of Josephine can inspire children. The book also give a message about never give up, stay cool in difficult situation and always double check your list whenever you are going out or planning a trip.

Fabulous illustrations. All pictures of places, and street, outfits of characters were very colorful and beautifully illustrated.

There were fun things in the book like spy gears, Super-expanding spy bag, disguising outfits of secret agents, Top Secret file about thief, that will catch children’s eyes. I loved her red scooter that is on the cover.

One thing only, I knew this basic greeting phrases in French but some children might not know about them, so I think little info and meaning about them at the end of the book, as an exercise or learning tip would have make it great.

Overall, it was entertaining and crafty picture book with bit of education that children especially girls interested in spy books would love to read.

Little Hoo is at home in his tree when suddenly there is a knock, who could it be? When Hoo glances out the door it looks like a scary ghost, or is it? Each time there is a knock at the door Little Hoo is frightened by the visitor behind the door, until………

Who’s There, Little Hoo? Is an adorable Children’s book filled with Halloween fun! The illustrations are fun and crisp. The story line is fun for all ages. Each time a visitor knocks at the door Hoo gets a little frightened until the door opened and it is Hoo’s friend wearing their Halloween costume for the Halloween party.

At the end of the book there is a cutout page for kids to make their very own Little Hoo mask.

The kids and I really enjoyed this book, a perfect book for the Halloween season!

Like the Valentine's cards kids give to their friends. Each animal has a sweet lovable message for the reader. It's cute and colorful. Perfect for your 3-5 year old as they start learning to read.

Young kids love knock, knock jokes and the ones they tell often don't make sense but they will laugh their heads off anyway. When I started reading this book to my grandson, he didn't get it (he is only three) but when I told the jokes to my grand-nephew who is five, he thought they were hilarious. He actually started telling some of them over and over to his parents. The illustrations are simple and colourful and that is what got the attention of my grandson. This is a great book to read to young children and a teacher could use it to get her students thinking up their own jokes. This will be a hit in primary classrooms. I can see many teachers pretending they lost this book as kids will want to read it over and over as well as tell the jokes over and over or try to change them and make up their own, which probably won't make sense. A cute idea. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

This adorable book tells about the fears of Little Hoo, a young owl, who is getting ready to go to the beach. He has many fears and they are all illustrated with large, fun, colourful images. Is he afraid of sharks, crabs, large waves or other things. All he has to do is hold onto his parent's hands and they will keep him safe.

This is a fun story for little ones with a happy ending. Little Hoo goes to the beach and has fun building sandcastles with his friends. The illustrations are cute and go very well with the story. Little Hoo is cute and I think kids will identify with him. My grandson enjoyed talking about the illustrations and comparing what he saw in them to what he sees on the beach when he visits his Nona's cottage. A great addition to a family library or a kindergarten/pre-school classroom. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

"Time to Get Ready, Bunny!" isa cute book about how hard it is for Bunny to get ready in the morning. It is also bilingual (Spanish) which would be great for ELL children who are Spanish speakers or for those trying to learn Spanish. I would love to see it in French as my grandchildren will be in a French Immersion School for their education. The illustrations are simple and cute. My grandson is in JK and is a terrible dawdler. I read this book with him and we laughed at every page. We talked about what the problem was (i.e. shirt too small, too cold for shorts etc.) I am not sure if he will be able to take anything from the story to change, but he did like it. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

A very cute book with simple text and illustrations. The repetitive text and the easy picture cues will make this a good book to build confidence in beginning readers. Both my grandchildren enjoyed this book with my grandson using the picture clues to predict the text. A great choice for children that have a dog at home. A good book for pre-school, primary and family libraries. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

This is a very simple book with repetitive words about a Kitty who does not want to go to bed. It can be read to a little one as a bedtime story or used with early readers and they can read it to a sibling who is getting ready for bed, or to someone else in the family as their own bedtime story. The illustrations are large, yet very simplistic. A cute book. I read this to my two year old granddaughter and she liked the book, but it did not make her want to take her nap. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

This is a cute little book for the young children who are about to start school for the first time. As Little Hoo prepares for the first day, his Mom explains that there is nothing to fear, in fact, the day ahead can be fun! It’s a great way to teach children why they shouldn’t be worried about starting school. It seems to cover some of the major issues that young children worry about when starting school. I love the illustrations in this book, they are fun and show emotions very well. I read this book to my grandson who will be going back to school in a week to begin SK. As he does have a lot of anxiety issues, he picked up on several things in the story and wanted to know, "Why is his teacher angry?" He was relieved to see the next page with a smiling teacher. A good book to read to youngsters, but there may be some explanation needed as the fist page shows the negative or what might upset Hoo, then the next one shows that won't happen. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions stated are my own.

My grandson loved this book. He tells the corniest jokes, many that his Nono tells him, then he repeats them, often incorrectly and laughs like he is hilarious. He thought the jokes in this short and cute book were also hilarious. I am not sure if he go them all or not, but with the cute illustrations, it was a hit for sure. The book is centred around Hallowe'en but can be enjoyed year round. Overall, I would recommend this book to children, but warn their parents ahead of time, these jokes might be repeated over and over and over and over....... The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

This is another delightful entry into the Little Hoo series. It is Christmas Eve and Little Hoo is supposed to be in bed. Everytime he hears a sound, he assumes it is Santa, his reindeer or the elves. Of course it is often mom or dad. This book will give children a chance to predict or guess what they think the sounds are. The illustrations are wonderful. They are colourful and fun. This is definitely a book to add to the family Christmas library. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

This was a very simple joke book geared to kids age 6 to 9 or so. The jokes are all just a little gross which elementary age kids will absolutely love. There were a couple that just did not seem to fit with the others and a few that kids might not understand but overall, a fun read with simple, gross illustrations to match the book. I can see some of these jokes being told over and over. A cute book for primary classrooms and school libraries. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to review!

Cody eats is a cute kindergarten level book. I read this with my 5 year old. She absolutely loved it! I asked her out of five stars what would you rate the book and she said nineteen stars. Silly girl. I loved the illustrations. I would recommend this book to a friend who has children.

Be Mine by Brenda Ponnay
Children's colorful book about Valentine's using animals and some traits they have. Problem is the words are too small to read and it's hard to enlarge them on a tablet.
Like lobster one the best as I'm from the northeast. Colors don't blend into the background very well. 19 different animals are featured.
Other works by the author and friends are highlighted at the end.

The simple bilingual text is educational, but there isn't much else to recommend this story. The illustrations are static and unappealing.½

Bright cheerful but very basic illustration and not much of a story. I'm convinced that is a shark and Little Hoo better watch out....½

Colors by Brenda Ponnay
Colorful children's book about colors and the many things they could stand for.
Reminds me so much of Dr. Seuss, not a rhyming book but a very silly one. My favorite is the color blue because of blueberry bubbles.

Merry Christmas, Little Hoo!: Volume 3
Colorful children's story about Hoo and he's trying to figure out what the sounds are that he is hearing outside.
He imagines they are Santa's sleigh bells, the reindeer and other Christmas related sounds.
On the next pages it does tell you what the sounds are from...½

This book has a few good colors in it for teaching
toddlers their colors. However, it is limited to basic colors
which is good for the very early toddler.
The illustrations are not the clearest nor the colors the brightest.
Still it is a good beginning book to teach your young ones with.
