This book is a must-have if you are building a Chevy Small Block. It covers all aspects from beginning to end. It contains many helpful color photos showing detail.
It also contains many charts with helpful info throughout the book.
At the end, it has a build of a sample engine:422 CI. It has all the parts used and item #s included in a chart at the end of the book.
You will be happy with this book to help in your engine building.

Holey smoke. I knew the small block Chevy was still popular, but I didn't realize how much. Mavrigian does a fine job explaining what's out there and what you need to know to put together the right parts and assemble them correctly. At the end of the book he goes through putting together a 422 small block and the various things you might not realize are important, but will make the difference between an engine with a short life or a long one. If you're building a small block using an original Chevy block, this isn't the book for you. He sticks to the high quality aftermarket blocks. Given all the potential problems of a used block, that isn't a bad idea, but make your own choice.
Would have been nice if they had done a street engine build as well.… (más)
