The lives of three disparate women, scrutinized in this character study, intersect, bringing unexpected change to each of their lives. Dell is a mother suffering from severe post-partum depression; Monica, taking a forced vacation from her insurance company job, recognizes her problem but has no idea of how to address it; Gladys has spent her life sequestered in a small apartment; she’s a child in an elderly woman’s body.

Each of the women in this narrative have had difficult, damaging childhoods, leaving them scarred and now at a crisis point.

Many readers are likely to find the author’s continual, gratuitous use of unnecessary expletives and crude language to be particularly off-putting.
Although each woman faces a moment of decision, the book is more individual, unrelated character studies than it is an interwoven story. Only the thinnest plotline brings the women together and the rushed, uninspiring ending is likely to disappoint.… (más)
