This reads like a collection of letters sent to friends and family after traveling, which -- when you're a screenwriter with shows like MASH, Cheers and Frasier on your resume -- can be hilarious.

My overall impression of Levin's book is of a very quick-witted friend's take on the joys and travails of modern travel. This isn't adventure travel (though any time you get on an airplane, "adventure" is one possible result), but the insights are fresh and amusing.

I found this small book of travel writing for less than $3 in the Kindle version and downloaded it. Take it along on your next airline flight. It will more than pass the time and you will finish it exactly as the wheels touch down. Levine was a writer on some of your favorite comedy TV shows, but he has done a lot of things and he is very funny. These are very short reports, almost like e-mails home, from some of his travels. Not great literature, as Levine well knows, but a lot of fun. Highly recommended.… (más)
