Achievable but tasty French food. Nothing in here is too hard or complicated to make, most ingredients are easy to find. It's more home cooking than fine dining but there are so many recipes I'd like to make.

Pagination is slightly off on the kindle version in that titles often appear on the previous page to the recipe, somewhat irritating.½

Essentially the same book as his uncle's 'Life is a Menu', just a generation along. Breezy and readable, but sometimes lapses into 'I grew up at my mothers knee shelling garden peas and sauteeing foie gras with a touch of pondicherry pepper' style cliche
