Paul F. Jamieson

The Adirondack Readers by Paul Jamieson are the best way to sample the best of Adirondack literature (both fiction and nonfiction). The three editions are each different. The third edition has additional matter selected by Paul and Neil Burdick. Jamieson told me he preferred the second edition (this one) to the first, believing it had a better selection. He insisted that the third edition include representative art of the region and selected the works to be included. It was published posthumously by the Adirondack Mountain Club.
