A visual celebration of the work of special effects and stop motion pioneer Ray Harryhausen told via an impressive collection of the posters that promoted his work around the world.

If you love the classic monsters of Harryhausen’s imagination then this is a real nostalgia trip. If you love movie poster art (a lost art if ever there was one) then there is much to admire and study here.

But if you want an in-depth look at the master’s work then you need to look elsewhere. The focus is unsurprisingly on the visuals and the accompanying text is more of a high level summary of each movie.

Working through these pages has definitely made me want to rewatch nearly every movie mentioned. Time to check out the streaming lists!… (más)
