Fascinating insider's perspective on politics in Hawaii. Realizing this is one man's view, it's still interesting to read about a Democrat who made it all the way to governor of Hawaii. He certainly portrays himself as an independent thinker and I definitely remember he was not well loved by the Democratic party when he was governor. Highly recommend for anyone who has lived in Hawaii.
