To be honest, there is not a lot one can say about a story that barely spans eighteen pages, but there is something to say for a story that is short but manages to be interesting and spicy in so few pages. Berengaria Brown certainly does not waste words in getting to the good stuff; our intrepid couple quickly jumps from the gym to the coffee house to Lydia's house for a bit of rumpy-pumpy, all in the span of four to five pages. I've read romance novels where by the fifth page, the main couple has not even met yet - but, of course, this is a short short story, so the courtship is cut short. Still, you get enough of a read of both characters to care enough about them for the time you spend reading about them. Sure, I can lament the lack of real characterization development, but given the limits of the short story itself, Loving Lydia can be forgiven for giving these things the cursory glance.

As for the other part of Loving Lydia - the sex scenes - they are about as long as the actual story itself. But they are pretty hot and heavy, even if some of the language becomes heavy-handed; I personally could do without the word 'honey' in my sex scenes, but your mileage may vary. It's pretty clear that the main focus of the story is the smut, and given that the highlight of the story is that, readers can be assured that the smut is indeed pretty darn smutty. Overall, Loving Lydia is the epitome of wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am f/f erotica, dovetailing an interesting story with some entertaining sex scenes to make a worthy short story for fans of the genre.

A great short story, this is a mix between humor and serious lust between not two, but three men. It goes all the way from a boring company team-building day to some very intimate, very small-team building between not 2, but 3 very hot men.

The story was just long enough to hear from each of them, giving me a good impression of who they were and what they wanted. Other than getting laid, of course. The characters were different enough to make this coming-together interesting, and I would love to hear more about them in a longer story.

If you're looking for funny, short, and sexy, this story might be for you.

This is a short, fun, and very sexy read about two men who are deeply in lust. And that is even before their real first date. Thing is, Matt works too long on Christmas Eve, misses his last bus, and generally messes up the original date; everything that can go wrong, does. Jake feels neglected and angry, and ignores 6 weeks worth of e-mails and pleas together again. Matt, however, is not willing to give up.

Matt is a conscientious and an ambitious worker, which stops him from thinking clearly and gets him into trouble with Jake. But he cannot forget the man, and keeps e-mailing him until he agrees to a date on Valentine's Day. Matt wants everything to be perfect, and I loved his preparations and the hope things will be different this time.

Jake is angry, but Matt's determination finally wears him down. He is as interested in getting to know Matt as the man is in him, so he figures it is only fair to give them a second chance. And what could be more romantic than Valentine's Day? I really liked that he was as impatient for their date as Matt, despite his fears.

So, while 'reunion' is a pretty strong word, since the main characters were never together before, it is an appropriate description of how both men feel about it. If you like romantic and sexy Valentine's stories, if you enjoy reading about men struggling a bit before they make it, and if you're looking for a hot read with chocolate body paint in one of the starring roles, then you will probably like this short story.

This is such a funny, lighthearted version of a part-werewolf and a full werewolf trying to make a relationship work. Actually, Cord, the werewolf, is in lust, but Dillon, the mostly-human man, has no intention of giving in to his urges. He keeps telling himself he won’t give in. Right. The whole situation and the way Berengaria Brown described it made me smile, and when they get going after unavoidably ending up in bed anyway, they are super hot together.

Cord is in lust. He is also allergic to Christmas, and usually flees southward for a month from the middle of December. For professional reasons he can’t this year, and anyway, he has finally managed to convince the man of his dreams to go on a date with him – how is he supposed to leave? I loved the whole way Cord tries to be patient, suffers through a whole Christmas display just to be with Dillon, and manages to convince Dillon to come to his apartment after their date. And when he finds out how much Dillon doesn’t want to be a were, I felt for Cord. Not accepting such a big part of who Cord is might be a deal breaker.

Dillon is really funny. He is so determined not to give in to Cord, but all to no avail. One they’ve made love, Dillon is pretty much lost. And as for his issue with werewolves – his reasons are as obvious as they are short-sighted, and being with Cord forces him to finally confront his innermost thoughts and fears. Good for Dillon!

If you like stories with a lot of humor, if you enjoy the lighter side of werewolf stories, and if you’re looking for a read that is hilarious yet very hot, then you will probably like this short story.
