Asquith's collections of letter-length tales of erotic goings-on, written (supposedly) by people wishing to share their stories of what they get up to, provide a wealth of situations that will arouse many, and particularly those who share the preferences described. This collection deals with relationships, including a large proportion of married couples, who find arousal in sharing one or other partner with third parties, while openly observing their love-making and sometimes taking an active part. Voyeuristic elements often form part of such menages, as well as masochistic impulses on the part of the watcher. This is the second volume of two that deal with wife-watching, and it nicely complements the first. The front cover of my copy shows a whip-wielding young lovely, perhaps misleading in that no SM activity features in the text at all. An entertaining collection of stories which reinforces the belief that variety is paramount in such human activity.… (más)

Lesley Asquith has produced a number of collections of ‘vox pop’ descriptions of erotic situations and escapades, supposedly invited via a press advertisement. The fact that Asquith and Delta have seemingly cornered the market in this means of publishing stimulating material is almost testimony itself to the quality of the final product. I feel it’s probable that there is truth in the supposed origin of the material, although the uniformity of style and pace of its presentation does suggest at least some skilled editing. The result, here as in other volumes from the same team, is magnificent in the inventiveness and variety of the scenarios included, each providing enough detail in contributions of 1-4 page length to stimulate the imagination. Unconstrained by character continuity or any sort of plot, the book will be favoured by those needing a ‘handy’ reference. It may also be found useful for authors in search of suitable scenarios for their own development.… (más)

With any published work in the erotic literature genre the reader quickly becomes aware of how difficult it is to separate fact and fantasy. In published letters the problem is greatest, and despite the best efforts of the Editor, in this case the author Lesley Asquith, it is never possible to be sure of the veracity of any particular contribution. Asquith’s stamp is clearly visible here, in imposing a uniformity of literacy and style, although certain awkwardnesses in the latter give some confidence in sincerity. But as entertainment, collections such as this rarely disappoint, and this particular one is better than most, covering a very wide range of scenarios in which human nature inevitably bursts forth. The collection of tales, each one needing only a small number of pages, is divided according to the participant telling the tale, and this provides some structure, but it is the unexpected nature and variety of the stories which provides the interest. This volume stands proudly alongside Asquith’s other collections as pure entertainment and as illustrations of how people can interact entertainingly.… (más)

A certain amount of trust is involved when taking at face value any claim by a book of ‘confessions’ that it truly represents factual accounts of its writers. Particularly in the recounting of erotic tales it is very tempting to embellish, or even completely replace, fact with fantasy. Most of us have experienced examples of reality that is stranger than fiction, and it would be a bold man or woman who would dismiss any other’s experience, however bizarre, as ‘simply too far-fetched’. In any book such as this, the editor/compiler of anecdotes submitted as true must necessarily change the original text in the interests of clarity and consistency, and when the compiler is an author of the stamp of Lesley Asquith, particularly accomplished at writing erotic fiction of the highest quality, this gives a uniformity of style that further complicates the reader’s dilemma. This book is a superb example of the ‘erotic compilation’ genre. Whilst the tales included here would hardly stand as evidence of erotic practices in a legal sense, all of them are more or less credible, and to this extent they are stimulating in the way erotic fiction stimulates; perhaps more so because of the frisson associated with actuality. All of the anecdotes included are short and very much to the point, and the collection will be found intriguing by those seeking wide erotic variety.… (más)
