This graphic novel, illustrated by the superb artist of erotic art, Lynn Paula Russell, broadly follows the plot of a novel of the same name by Phoebe Gardner, which describes the life of a quite innocent young woman who takes employment as a governess with a couple who have a young daughter. The Governess actually manages to acquire more instruction than she gives, and all of it in the erotic arts. This education takes place at the home of her employers, and also within a clandestine society led by their local vicar. She falls in love with a young man, but their relationship is put at risk by participation in orgies, undertaken under the influence of laudanum. As might be expected, Russell's prolific illustrations are magnificent, and replete with erotic incident, depicted whole-heartedly. The result is a glorious book which, in my opinion, succeeds much better than Gardner's original story. ( ) This is an erotic graphic novel of a Victorian young lady who goes to be a governess. The situation and adventures in which she finds herself are randy, erotic and well illustrated. The drawings are good an explicit. It is not a thick book but it is a good one. I can recommend this book if you like sexual adventure. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Kate Spencer is a young and innocent governess in search of matrimony. Seemingly, she has landed the perfect job for a young spinster, though she soon discovers that appearances can be deceptive. Kate ends up caught in a fast and tightening net of sexual exploitation and physical humiliation at the hands of her supposedly respectable, yet ruthless employers. Facing the dismal prospect of being prostituted or sold as a sex slave, our heroine lauches a valiant quest to outwit her decadent employers, allowing her to escape and continue her search for marital security.
