This is an older book and that can be seen by the illustrations. Overall, it is a cute poetry book that can introduce children to all types of animals and what they are called when in a group. Some of the poems can be hard to read through, so it would be more appropriate for older elementary age children. ( )

It is a great introduction for kids getting into poetry. The poems in the book teaches them different rhyme schemes. It also shows the author has control over a poem's rhythm. Not every poem rhymed like most expect them too. I felt the book had great illustrations and a great way go introduce new animals. ( )

Silly poems about animal groups. Kids will like some of them, but suspect that they will find the poems a little too complicated.
