What a wonderful book. Loved the 50s volume (and will definitely get the 30s volume) and this one has been a real pleasure. It is the perfect dip into book. Amazing how many politicians that were one time on everyone's lips (and minds) and now most have been totally forgotten (other than the PM etc). Covers the usual areas of politics, drama, music, arts, sport etc and lists most of the major events of the time as it happened (or just after) and not with any opinions or interpretations. I only wish that the Telegraph had released a 70s version as well (and that the other papers also followed suit). Totally recommended.

Cover Harold Wilson and the 1960s. 5/5 When he died the obituaries slated him like no other politician I recall.

Contents. As with the Thirties a great read and the 1960s I can remember much of what is in the book. But there are those little gems I recall when reading.

Does anyone know if there is a Forties version?
