A nice overview of Proto-Indo-European and of the ten main branches in their earliest well-attested forms (so ancient classical languages for Italic, Indic, etc, but essentially the modern language for Albanian).
The second edition adds brief introductory chapters for Indo-Iranian and Balto-Slavic, but otherwise there isn't much attention paid to subgrouping.
