It has been a little while since I read this book but here is what I recall...

I love the series!! Yummy romance involving shifters. Plenty of steamy action and a touch of humor!

Definitely a series to get into! I started it and didn't stop until I reached the last book that was released! I am always looking for the next book!

Funny, light, some steamy sex. I think of all the books so far, Belle is my favorite character. She smart, mouthy, witty, and a freaking genius with the air horn. ( )

I love this series! It's fun, sweet, and hot all at once. Dana does a great job of writing characters you can identify with while also bringing in the great paranormal/shifter element.

I was glad to see Belle get her own during this story. After the first three stories in the series, I thought she deserved a happy ending and Rick seemed to be the perfect guy for her - even if he is a wolf! I really enjoyed her various means of making herself clear and that, despite her injury, she held her own.

It was a great romance and a great story. If you enjoy shifter romances, this is a fantastic series and you won't be disappointed. ( )

Man, this series is so up-and-down.

Belle (known as Belinda when she was playing sidekick to Livia; now that she's not with the villain squad she apparently needs a new name) has a broken arm and a broken hip from saving the life of fellow puma-shifter Sheri (see book 3 for the full story). Rick, alpha wolf-shifter from a nearby Pack is her new-found mate, but Rick is coerced into returning to his Pack and leaving Belle in Halle until she heals enough for them to claim each other. Months pass (some of it via text-message, which I personally find an annoying literary device in novels, but ymmv). When Belle is finally healed enough to walk with the aid of a cane, Rick sends for her -- but meanwhile Gina, a power-hungry wolf, has decided that she wants both the role of Luna and of Max's consort, and she'll do whatever she has to to get what she wants.

The characters were generally like-able, although I never got a really full picture of Rick as a character in his own right. I think what bugged me most though is that shifter rules and protocols from previous stories--and even from this story--were violated pretty significantly. I'm assuming that the author was able to justify it in her own mind somehow, but it wasn't justified to me as a reader since none of the characters seemed to recognize the contradictions. ( )
