With Pastor Tim preaching from the book of Mark at present, as I was looking for a book to read from our Church Library, the title of this book caught my eye; I have enjoyed other books by this Author, so I signed it out, and was wrapped up in the story from the beginning! Remembering that this is a novel, the Scriptural and Historical facts are the backbone around which the story is woven, and I was once again awed by the details we have in the New Testament, some of which I hadn't even noticed before, regardless of the many times I have read them! So enthusiastic Readers, here's a book worth reading!
Mark's life was in confustion. His statesman father had been killed suddenly in a Libyan insurrection, and Mark's bright future in Rome had now become clouded. It was Passover week, and curious reports were ciculating about a Nazarene Rabbi. Little did Mark realize that the controversial Rabbi and his disciples would be eating the traditional Passover meal in the rooftop chamber of his family estate. Date: Spring, A.D. 33, Place: Jerusaleum. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
