This one was just not up to her typical writing style and seem to drag on a lot more than normal for her. There were times that I just wanted to say get on with the story already please. Overall a decent story but the ending was completely predictable and partly unrealistic because life just doesn’t work that way. So we’ll move onto her newest one and hope for the best. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

In the crosshairs of a political bribery investigation, Dempsey Jo Killebrew suddenly finds herself unemployed and the victim of a sleazy smear campaign by her former boss. Dempsey decides to take up her father's offer of flipping a recently inherited family home in Guthrie, Ga., where she quickly slides into the renovation groove, fits in with the locals, and embarks on a romance. This story moved at a good pace with a mix of Dempsey’s difficulties with the FBI regarding bribery accusations from her old boss and the colorful characters in the small southern town where she works on the old family home. There was a bit of a family secret, a bit of excitement helping the FBI and a bit of romance. It was a fun and lively read. ( )
