Very suspenseful. I like this author. Mostly I have stopped reading series romance but this is a very good one. ( )

Sydney Westlake is a microbiologist working on a cure for the genetic condition that is killing her twin sister. Tiberius is an evil villain who is using Sydney's skills (without her knowledge of the real reason why) to develop bioweapons for his own nefarious purposes. John “Iceman” Sharpe is the FBI agent who is trying to take down Tiberius and his operations.

Exciting suspense story with lots of action that hardly ever let up. I thought Sydney was a great heroine. She was smart, brave, and gutsy and was able to hold her own on many occasions. I enjoyed the secondary characters including the hero’s team members and Sydney’s sister, and also villain Tiberius and his compound set on Rocky Cliff Island. I just wish that Sydney had a better hero. John drove me nuts with his lack of trust in Sydney. He was always so quick to think the worst of her—over and over again—anytime that something went wrong, and his love for her at the end didn’t really ring true to me. But despite the less-than-great hero, the suspense was so well done that it more than made up for it. ( )
