It is very colorful and simplistic and it teaches the students about things they encounter in their daily life. However I do not think I would have it in my classroom, I can find a better book that teaches them the same things ( ) Colorful die-cut pages create the unique illustrations for this imaginative book that celebrates nature and encourages young readers to discover the world around them. Discover things that creep, leap, wiggle, sing, swim, bloom, or fly. Then play the rebus game. What can the young reader see in the pages of this book? Highly recommended. The story starts off by saying "My world is made of things i like" and goes on to describe animals and other things in nature such as flowers and the sun. This book is simple but shows kids reading it that there are a lot of things in nature to be appreciative of. It also shows kids how to use different adjectives when describing something. Each page has a cut out in the shape of the animal or thing that the page is about which is different and fun for kids. I love Lois Ehlert. She writes about the world and nature and all the beautiful small things I never used to appreciate the way I do now. The illustrations are die-cuts of leaves, bugs, rain, stars, fruit, and other things you can find outside, and the pages are pretty sturdy so they should hold up through average use. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
