"How Animals Live" does an excellent job of detailing the different life strategies of different animals. i like the way this book is organized. The first chapter illustrates the different ways animals rear their young, then moves into different life strategies for survival and special defenses animals have. This book does a good job of explaining some difficult biological concepts for students with nice examples and illustrations. I would use some of the examples in this book with my students to help them understand concepts with concrete examples.

This informational non-fiction book shows illustrations of hundreds of different animals, insects, and aquatic life. It is separated into different chapters - Starting Out in Life, Sharing, Fighting to Live, Defenses, and Now You See Me. Each chapter is further categorized into sections. Although photographs would be better than illustrations, there is quite a lot of information that is easy to find and understand. ( )
