Storyteller and author Carol McCormick does an amazing job discussing the topic in her book “A Bridge For Grandma”. Written through the eyes of a young girl, she talks about what happened with her near death experience and how her Grandmother helped her understand. And in return the young girl helps her Grandmother through her ending journey of life.
“A Bridge For Grandma” gives parents and care givers the tools to help discuss a subject that most find difficult to discuss with a child. Not only is it a story for discussing a difficult subject, it is also a story about a little girl and the love between her and her Grandmother and how they help each other through difficult times.
Due to the subject matter, I would recommend parents or care givers either read the story to the children or be there with them as they read the story for the first time so they can answer any questions and explain in detail what is happening.
I highly recommend this book, it is definitely one of a kind and a valuable tool for parents.
