Marijuana is now a legally recognized substance in some states, and this has changed how we think and talk about drugs and drug abuse. What are the messages that our teens are receiving in a world where drugs are something to avoid, but also, some are now seen as therapeutic? This anthology presents a diverse collection of personal narratives about drug abuse, so that the reality of drug abuse isn't buried in esoteric terms and faceless facts. Students will be able to learn from individuals with first-hand experience, either as a participant, a victim, a witness, or an involved professional. Chapters are Teenagers and Drugs, Diary of a Drug Use, Recovery, and Parental Views on Drug Abuse.
