Sobre mi biblioteca
The Bessie Chin Library is a public high school library in Marin County, California. We have over 42,000 items in our online catalog of which ca. 30,000 are print materials. We enter new materials into our LibraryThing collection as we add them to the library.
Sobre mí
I was the teacher librarian at Redwood High School. I started at Redwood in 1999 after earlier stints at Castro Valley High School (1991-99), Saint Rose Academy (1985-90); Crespi Carmelite High School (1976-84), and Verbum Dei High School (1975-76). I have taught in many different subject areas, primarily science and math. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with degree in biology and received my master's degree in library science from Cal State Fullerton. My teaching credential authorizes me to teach secondary life and physical sciences and serve as a librarian in grades K-12.
I have served on the Board of the California School Library Association as VP for Educational Technology and President of the Northern Section of CSLA. I was honored in 2006 with CSLA's Technology Award. And 2008 I was chosen as my school's certificated employee of the year.
I retired from The Tamalpais Union High School District in 2012.
